  25 Years Of Journey

"Sister Lucy recently shared this letter with a few of us. It is a beautiful gratitude letter written to her by Sister Manju. The letter not only shows her affection for Sister Lucy but is also a subtle embodiment of her values. We are ever so grateful to be inspired by Sister Lucy!" Dearest Lucy I can’t say “thank you” enough to express how grateful I am as A Carmelite Missionary, for your coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I ... read full story

We Remember You And We Feel Grateful!

[This note was originally written to Rev. Heng Sure.] Dear Service Space monks and pilgrims, Every single day we think of you, your pilgrimage, your songs and your photography :-). Today only we were thinking of how the path that we are walking has been a pilgrimage path from hundreds of years. There is a strong context here which makes our journey easier. We feel Rev. Heng Sure, Nipun bhai, Guri di and many others made a unique path by "walking it yourself" as the title of th... read full story

  Finding Abundance within

Two good friends Bhumit and Nikita teaching at a local University in Vadodara asked us to interact with students of first year business administration for an orientation to their one month service internship. I was a little nervous! We got a little brief about the students saying, “they come from a privileged background and not sure how would they respond to service project. So don’t worry! And I got a little more nervous ☺ We shared few stories on small acts, videos... read full story

  Inner Transformation Makes TOI Headline

Rachana Bhangaokar M'aam, at MS University in Baroda, has embarked on a series of inspiring research projects with her graduate students. The film will be released shortly. In the meantime, their Bhaavyatra research brief was also shared in The Times of India today (via a media correspondent, Aparna Iyer... read full story

  Finding those three magical words

Two weeks ago, a few of us visited an elderly Gandhian couple in Baroda -- Arun Dada and Mira Ba. Now in their 80s, their entire life has been rooted in generosity. As students of Vinoba, they have never put a price tag on their labor. Their presence speaks to a life-long practice of equanimity, trust and compassion. And so do their stories. "Nine years ago, we were gifted this house," Arun Dada told us. The week they moved in, they discovered that their neighbor was a drunkard, pro... read full story

When Being The Change, Changes The Being

It all started with a circle of sharing at Vandanadidi’s home. Afterwards, a couple women were inspired to deepen in service and generosity in a one-day retreat.   As these things go, if the intention is genuine, the rest will follow.   This past Wednesday, about 20 women and a few Moved By Love volunteers came together for the day-long retreat. It was a diverse group of women— from writers, entrepreneurs, businesswomen, many who double as mothers and grandmothers. We h... read full story

Every time we love we give

What would your life look like, if you decided at the age of 5 that your only goal was Self-Realization? What would it look like if you dedicated the last Sixty years in the service of humanity? The answers to some of these questions might be found in the life of Pravina Tai, from the Vinoba Ashram at Pavnar. The mind races when we are posed with the thought of meeting such a Service Icon. But surprisingly, in the presence of Pravina Tai, you find them melting away. At... read full story
